Rec Room Tank

Our Living Room Saltwater Tank -

May 30, 2007

We have been very fortunate with our first attempt at reefing. We have had good growth, and minimal losses on our path. We certainly have battled some algae, though. Since the shooting below we have gotten a hammer coral, a bubble coral, as well as a bunch of zoanthids and polyps. We had to battle the zoanthid eating nudibranches, and some aptasia. Currently we have a small rock anemonie which hitchhiked in as well as some other very tiny anemones which are not 100% pests. The coraline algae has been going nuts as well. I would suppose that monitoring the calcium levels has been working in that regard. I will try to get pictures soon.
