Our Living Room Saltwater Tank - May 30, 2007 We have been very fortunate with our first attempt at reefing. We have had good growth, and minimal losses on our path. We certainly have battled some algae, though. Since the shooting below we have gotten a hammer coral, a bubble coral, as well as a bunch of zoanthids and polyps. We had to battle the zoanthid eating nudibranches, and some aptasia. Currently we have a small rock anemonie which hitchhiked in as well as some other very tiny anemones which are not 100% pests. The coraline algae has been going nuts as well. I would suppose that monitoring the calcium levels has been working in that regard. I will try to get pictures soon. March 6 2007: Got better pics! This tank is almost year old . Converted to a reef this month. Thanks to the Madison Area Reef Society members who sold us thes new aquacultured animals! Thanks to Michael Clark for taking the beautiful pics!
It is a 75 Gallon AGA. We have approx 92 lbs live rock, 14 types of coarls and mushrooms, as well as 5 types of fish, 4 types of
crabs, soon to be two types of snails, a lettuce nudibranch, a clam and a couple types of starfish.
